Tonight is the return of my indiepop club night, Deluxe! It's been nearly 2 months since the farewell party at Lolita. The new home is in the Front(ier) Room of the beautiful Bell House in Gowanus, Brooklyn. To celebrate, i've invited DJ Scott B from Australian indiepop band Summer Cats to guest DJ! Swedish 3-piece girl group Liechtenstein have announced the details of their debut album. The album, Survival Strategies in a Modern World, will be released on May 26th in both CD and 10" vinyl formats. The 10" vinyl will be co-released with Slumberland, who will release the CD in North America.

They will make their US debut at NYC Popfest - May 15th @ Don Hill's.

Suburban Kids With Biblical Names

Good new for New York swedish indiepop lovers!

Suburban Kids With Biblical Names have been added to this years NYC Popfest! They will be headlining the Sunday night show at Cake Shop. The last time they played was nearly two years ago as a two-piece band with an iPod. Now they're coming as a five-piece and with plenty of great new songs! Get there early!

the Mayfair Set is a collaboration between mike sniper of Blank Dogs and dee dee of Dum Dum Girls. their first 7" EP will be released on captured tracks records soon.

"Desert Fun" is a fantastic song.. you can hear elements of joy division's brooding anxiousness juxtaposed with dee dee's sweet and playful vocals.
